How does it work?
Laser & IPL hair removal are safe, highly effective methods of hair reduction. It uses technology to target each hair follicle and disrupt the growth cycle, stopping the follicle producing hair as quickly. The more treatments you have, the slower the regrowth.
What happens during the treatment?
You will be given a consultation prior to starting your laser treatments. This will give you the opportunity to meet your practitioner and ask them any questions about your treatment journey. During each laser treatment, you will be given safety goggles to wear during the session.
What should I expect after my treatment?
You may experience some reddening of the skin around where the hair used to be which could last anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours. Sometimes the skin can feel a little bit itchy for a few hours. If you experience redness, irritation or itching for longer than 48 hours please let your practitioner know.
What products can I use after my treatment?
After the treatment you must avoid perfumed products including lotions, shower gels and deodorants, fake tan for at least 2 days. You can wear mineral make up immediately which can be supplied by your clinic if you wish to cover the redness. You must avoid using products with acids, retinol and exfoliating beads for at least a week to allow the skin to fully heal.
What should I avoid after my treatment?
For 2 days after each treatment try not to get too hot or sweaty as this can irritate the skin. Avoid using the gym, saunas, steam rooms etc. If you want any extra guidance on a specific activity please follow the guidance on your aftercare form or ask your practitioner.
